Purchasing for Installation on Your Own Web Server
Test Pilot is licensed perpetually! That is, we charge you once to license a particular version of Test Pilot for use on a single server computer. Unlike our competitors, we do not charge yearly, quarterly or monthly fees.
If you will be using purchase order to buy Test Pilot, information to assist you in that process is listed at the bottom of this page...
We license the Test Pilot web server extension based the number of users participating in your assessments. As always, there are no limits to the number of assessments you may deploy nor on the number of authors you may have preparing assessments.
Calculating Participant Levels for Licensing
Academic
Government
Count the number of participants to whom you will offer one or more Test Pilot assessments in an average semester or quarter. Use this number to determine the license level necessary for purchase.
Corporate

If you will be offering surveys or assessments to the Internet at large, an unlimited participant license would be required.

Java Servlet Runners
Test Pilot is web server extension software. Some web servers require additional software called a Java servlet runner in order to run Test Pilot. Be sure to ask the party initiating the order for Test Pilot if they will need the servlet runner. It is not included with Test Pilot by default.
Typically, new Test Pilot purchasers with Windows-based servers will need to purchase a servlet runner. Test Pilot users who are upgrading from a previous version of Test Pilot will generally NOT require a new servlet runner purchase.
